Hi,

A SmartGit user reported a strange problem for Ubuntu 18.04 which I
can't reproduce on my 18.04 installation. He writes that for our
SWT-based application the menu background has changed recently from
normal black (like other GTK applications, e.g. Geany, show up) to some
bright color (see attached screenshots). Since there is no API form Java
side to change the color from our application, I'm wondering whether
some other, external setting might have influence on this coloring.

Hi Thomas,

I’ve seen a similar-ish issue before when I went from Gnome, installed KDE and went back to Gnome. It had installed the Oxygen-gtk theme. Once I uninstalled this package “gtk2-engines-oxygen” and then restarted my session then I was OK. Maybe it is something like that happening.
